Dean Woodward is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. His soulful, gritty voice harkens back to a time lost but not forgotten. While clearly influenced by the likes of Otis Redding, B.B. King, and Jonny Lang, his style is very much unique. This becomes very apparent the more you listen to his music. Each song has a distinctive feel and takes you on an entirely different journey. As he puts it, "My goal is to make it impossible for people to put a genre next to my name."
Born and raised in Colorado, Dean started playing drums at 10 years old and was hooked immediately. By age 17 he knew he wanted to pursue a career in music and began taking freelance opportunities in his local scene. In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles to attend Musician's Institute and continue working on his craft. During his time there, Dean learned under incredible drummers like Rob Carson, Chuck Flores, and Fred Dinkins and shared the stage with artists such as Walter Trout and Joe Bonamassa.
Somewhere along the way Dean started singing and picked up a guitar. After many years of bands, projects, and freelancing he decided to become a solo artist and start writing and recording original music. His debut EP is out now with his first single "Walk Off" available on all platforms.
